I have had the honor of working with the American Red Cross and Red Cross Blood on various web graphic maintenance and design requests. Over the years I have helped provide a variety of web assets for time sensitive natural disasters and campaigns while staying on brand with the ARC mission. This request was to create a concept for potential home page hero modifications. They needed a way to better direct users into the appropriate funnel while showing all options at once; Donating money or blood, volunteering, or learning life saving skills such as CPR.
This design features 4 clean and simple icon “side kicks” for users to choose from upon landing on the site, while also including additional messaging on the hero image itself. Allowing visitors to more quickly and easily access their needs will help reduce the current problem of having to scroll down various blocks on the home page.
